Tenured Associate Professor (Research Fellow) and Doctoral Supervisor, Center for Higher Education Research, Southern University of Science and Technology; Member of the Global Advisory Board for QS World University Rankings; Visiting Scholar at the National Institute of Education Sciences, China. She received her PhD from the UCL Institute of Education (ranked world No.1 in Education by QS since 2013). She serves concurrently as the Founding Secretary-General of the Higher Education Studies Committee of Shenzhen Society of Education, and Founding Secretary-General of Shenzhen Association of Women Scientists.

Her research fields cover higher education policy and governance, innovative talent cultivation, and the development of young universities. She has published nearly 60 journal articles in Chinese and English, including almost 50 SSCI and CSSCI papers. She has authored/co-authored 4 monographs in Chinese and English (including first-author works). She has led and completed 4 projects funded by the National Social Science Fund of China (Youth Project, General Project and Special Key Project), as well as numerous provincial and ministerial research projects. Her research won the Excellent Achievement Award of Shenzhen Philosophy and Social Sciences in 2023. She works as editorial board member and reviewer for multiple SSCI and CSSCI journals.
