Shen Wenqin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and a PhD in Education from Peking University, as well as a post-doctoral degree in Public Administration. He has served as a visiting scholar at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Currently, he is an associate professor at Peking University's Graduate School of Education and also serves as the Director of the Department of Education and Human Development. He holds various important academic positions, including director of the Higher Education Discipline Committee, member of the Science of Social Sociology Branch of the Chinese Sociological Association, member of the Graduate Education Discipline Committee of the Chinese Association for Graduate Education, executive director of the European Association for Higher Education Research (CHER), and deputy editor-in-chief of the international journal "Higher Education," among others. He has authored the monograph "The Origin, Development, and Modern Transformation of Western Liberal Education Thought: A Conceptual History Perspective" and contributed to works such as "Exploration of University General Education Models" and "Doctoral Quality: Concepts, Evaluation, and Trends." Additionally, he has translated several academic works, including "Philosophers and Orators," "University Governance in the United States," "How to Conduct Quality Research," "New Models of Knowledge Production," and "Statutes and Regulations of the University of Cambridge." Shen Wenqin has published over forty academic papers and has been awarded honors such as the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award from the Chinese Association for Higher Education and the First Prize for Excellent Papers in Inter-School Education, Social Sciences, and Medical Research.
