Dr. LIU Jin is a Visiting Professor of the Center for Higher Education Research, SUSTech. As an associate professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Beijing Institute of Technology. He served as different roles in lots of academic societies or Institutes, such as the research fellow of the Institute of International Dispute Prevention and Resolution, Beijing Institute of Technology; the visiting professor at the Georgia Research Center of Lanzhou University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston College, Tufts University, and the University of Turin. Used to serve in the Organization Department of the Central Committee, Beijing Municipal Party Committee, deputy head of Changjiang Li Autonomous County in Hainan Province.

His major areas of interest and focus have been the internationalization of higher education, academic talent mobility, and bigdata research. Presided over 3 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and 11 other provincial and ministerial projects. Published 15 academic monographs (3 monographs in English) and more than 100 academic papers in journals such as Higher Education, Educational Research, and Higher Education Research. He is also the head of the international research group of "the Belt and Road" higher education research. Director of the Youth Academic Committee of “Chongqing Higher Education Research.” Won the prize and second provincial teaching achievement special prizes. Built a national undergraduate university faculty’s CV and faculty’s CV database.
